Shawnee is the longest-tenured pitcher on Coach Chad O’Neal’s staff and had another standout summer in 2025. She threw 52.1 innings against top national competition with the Georgia Impact and posted a 2.98 ERA, struck out 42 batters, walked just five and maintained a stellar 1.002 WHIP. Her pinpoint command helped lead her club team to a Top 10 finish at the P5 event in Colorado and a 3rd place showing at the Colorado Sparkler. Coach O’Neal explains: “Shawnee’s ability to consistently locate all her pitches with velocity in the low 60’s contrasted by an elite changeup that keeps hitters guessing is why she’s so successful. At Strong Rock Christian Academy in Locust Grove, Ga., Shawnee dominated as the varsity ace, earning the prestigious 4A GIAA “Pitcher of the Year” award. She recorded 105 strikeouts in 125 innings while hitting .381 with seven home runs. Coach O’Neal continues: “Shawnee is a ‘big game’ pitcher with poise beyond her years. She’s surgical with her location, extremely crafty, and brings a high-level pitching IQ to the mound.”
