Coach Player Profile Updates – How It Works
1️⃣ Logging In (Required)
Coaches must be logged in to update player profiles.
The email shown on your team page is your login email
Use that email to sign in via:Login → Members Area
If you are logged in but do not see your team or players, one of the following is true:
You are logged in with a different email
Your coach account has not been linked yet
If this happens, contact an admin for assistance.
2️⃣ Page Overview – What You’ll See
Once logged in, click your name in the top-right corner of the site.This opens a menu of available pages.
Select Team Update Page to begin.
On this page, you will:
Select your team (if you manage more than one)
Update existing players
Add new players
Retire players from your roster
Adding a New Player (Important)
If you are adding a player:
Do not select a player from the player dropdown
Click New Player instead
This creates a new record in the database
Enter the player’s information so:
The player appears on your team page
A player profile page can be created
Page Elements
You will see:
Team selector (if applicable)
Player selector
Editable player fields
Action buttons:
Save Changes
New Player
Retire Player
Media upload section:
Headshot
School logo
Media gallery
Status Messages
Status messages appear near the action you take:
Top of page → which player or mode you’re in
Near Save button → save results
Media section → upload confirmations
3️⃣ Fields Coaches Can Update
Coaches can edit:
Player name & number
Height
Date of birth
Positions
Graduation year
GPA
Recruiting status (Committed / Uncommitted)
College commitment (if applicable)
Rankings (EIS, Line Drive)
Bio / About Me
Favorite quote / defining term
Social links
Media (headshot, school logo, gallery)
Coaches cannot edit:
Team assignments across organizations
System IDs or internal references
Historical or admin-controlled data
4️⃣ How Saving Works (Important)
Only fields you change are saved
Existing data is never overwritten unless you edit it
Clicking Save Changes updates text, numbers, tags, and dates
If no fields were changed, you’ll see:
“No changes to save.”
5️⃣ Media Uploads (Save Automatically)
Image uploads do not require clicking Save Changes.
When you upload:
Headshot → saved immediately
High school logo → saved immediately
Media gallery images → added immediately
You’ll see confirmation messages such as:
“Headshot updated ✅”
“Added 4 images to gallery ✅”
6️⃣ Retiring a Player
Clicking Retire Player removes the player from public team pages
The player record is not deleted
This action can be reversed by an admin if needed
7️⃣ Common Status Messages & What They Mean
Message | Meaning |
“Editing: [Player Name]” | You are actively editing this player |
“Adding new player…” | You are creating a new player |
“Saving…” | Changes are being saved |
“Saved.” | Save completed successfully |
“No changes to save.” | No fields were modified |
“Upload saved automatically” | Media was updated |
“Save failed” | Permission or validation issue |
8️⃣ Common Errors & Fixes
I don’t see my team
You’re logged in with the wrong email
Contact an admin to confirm your coach account
Save failed: permissions
You are not logged in
Or your account is not recognized as a coach
Number / GPA error
Only numeric values are allowed
Remove letters or symbols
Date won’t save
Use the calendar picker (do not type the date)
Images won’t upload
Check file size
Refresh the page and try again
9️⃣ Best Practices
Always confirm the correct player is selected before editing
Upload clear, high-resolution images
Keep bios concise and recruiting-focused
